Previously, following the season finale of My Adventures with Superman on September 1, 2023, Warner Bros and DC Comics announced that a second season for the hit series is in production. This morning, Adult Swim posted a new trailer for the new season on their social media channels, revealing that Season 2 will premiere with a one-hour doubleheader of the first two episodes on Toonami on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from Midnight – 1:00 a.m. EDT/PDT.

My Adventures with Superman’s premiere episodes will see a scheduling change this season, as new episodes will be premiering on Toonami to kick off the block every Saturday at midnight. This is compared to the airing of season 1, when the show aired on Thursday nights, with an encore airing on Toonami on Saturdays. My Adventures with Superman will be available for streaming on Max (formerly HBO Max) the following day, in addition to adultswim.com and on-demand services.
The new season will be 10 episodes in length and run for 9 weeks, and will introduce several familiar faces from the Superman franchise to this storyline, including Lex Luthor, Braniac, and Supergirl. 12 days ago, Adult Swim released a teaser clip from the new season, as Jor-El gives Clark a warning that “there is another one like you,” and that he is “running out of time”.
The synopsis for the second season reveals that: “In the latest season, the three best friends face a host of new threats. Powerful foes will emerge from Clark’s alien past, Amanda Waller will take aim at Superman, Lois will grapple with the future, and Jimmy Olsen will spend an unbelievable amount of money. Krypton is coming for our young heroes, and its arrival will test their strength, loyalty, and love like never before.”
Superman will replace Ninja Kamui on the lineup, as the latter show will be airing its season finale this Saturday, May 4. Toonami will be airing encore marathons of Ninja Kamui, with episodes 1-7 airing on May 11 and episodes 7-13 on May 18. The full schedule for May 25 onward is still to be announced.
Update on May 3, 2024: Toonami revealed the schedule for when My Adventures with Superman joins the block on May 25. Since the premiere will be an hour long, Zom 100 will have the night off to make way, meaning that combined with the Ninja Kamui marathon nights on May 11 & 18, Akira and company will be taking a three-week hiatus. Demon Slayer will also begin a rerun of the Entertainment District arc, with the hour long first episode airing from 2:30-3:30 a.m. On June 1, Zom 100 will return, along with reruns of Ninja Kamui airing at 2:30, while Demon Slayer moves to 3 a.m.
