While at Anime Expo 2018, we were able to get a meeting with KLabGames! This is KLabGames’ first year exhibiting at AX2018. For those of you who aren’t familiar with KLab Inc., they were founded in 2000 and are a lead developer for global online mobile games such as Love Live! School Idol Festival, Bleach: Brave Souls, Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team, and Utano☆Princesama Shining Live. All titles are available at the App Store® and Google Play™ for download. Many of these games are in the middle of their anniversary celebrations right now, and future content is in development and will be released soon! Mark and Sarah of the KLabGames marketing team took us through a tour of their Exhibit Hall booth!
The first title we get to see is their newest, Utano☆Princesama Shining Live, available for iOS 9.0+ and Android™ 4.4+. With over 4 million downloads worldwide, Shining Live is an intuitive rhythm game featuring songs and characters from the Utano☆Princesama series. Both the series and games are targeted towards a female audience, but anyone who is into rhythm games is more than welcome to download and play!
Here we have the Utano☆Princesama Shining Live section at the KLab Booth. The game was formatted for larger display and gameplay. Fans definitely got a “hands-on” experience!
To celebrate the 8th anniversary of the series, KLab held a contest for a trip to Japan for the special event, Utano☆Princesama SETSUGETSUKA Eternal Moment! Bleach: Brave Souls

For the next title, we get a look at Bleach: Brave Souls, available for iOS 7.0+ and Android 4.0+. KLabGames had a Brave Souls capsule machine featured at the booth. Fans had a chance to win a Brave Souls original T-shirt, clear file set, or stickers. Bleach: Brave Souls is a 3D hack-and-slash action game that fits in the palm of your hand. The game has just finished its 32 million downloads worldwide celebration and it’s now in its 3rd year anniversary. Here is KLab Games’ Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team VR set up!
We move to the next featured game, Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team, available for iOS 8.0+ and Android™ 4.1+. Based on Yoichi Takahashi’s manga series that originally debuted in 1981, Captain Tsubasa focuses on competitive football. KLabGames had a virtual reality game set up at the booth. Players had the chance to strap in and test their skills as a goalie! Depending on how well participants defended against famous players’ powerful shots, they had a chance to win some exclusive prizes. Catch one shot to get Captain Tsubasa stickers, two shots for a cleaning cloth, and catch all three for a Dream Team T-shirt! We tried our luck with the VR experience and were only able to catch one shot, better luck next time! With over 10 million downloads worldwide, Captain Tsubasa is still growing strongly, as well as winning over the hearts of countless football lovers all around the globe! As for new content, KLabGames has been introducing National Team kits from football powerhouses around the world! Here we have the Love Live! School idol festival: Aqours Stamp Rally!
Last but not least is our personal favorite, Love Live! School Idol Festival, available for iOS 8.0+ and Android 4.0+. Love Live! School Idol Festival is a worldwide rhythm action game. With over 40 million downloads worldwide, players can create a nine membered unit of their favorite school idols and tap through performances by Aqours and µ’s. Love Live! School Idol Festival just got done celebrating their 4th anniversary and are on to their Summer of Love Live! 2018 Summer Girl Election! Players have voted for their favorite members from each group to represent the summer. The top 1st and 2nd from each group will be available as a free Scout 11 Scouting! Voting was from July 4th – July 15th and the final results were just announced. During Anime Expo, KLabGames also had the Aqours Stamp Rally! Participants would receive a card with spots for three stamps obtainable by visiting various booths in the Exhibit Hall. With Love Live!’s popularity, these cards just flew out of the booth!
