Last year, Toonami announced that they were producing Ninja Kamui, a new original IP directed by Sunghoo Park, known best for directing the Jujutsu Kaisen anime series. With animation by his studio, E&H Production, along with Sola Entertainment. This morning, Adult Swim revealed when fans will get to see Ninja Kamui for the first time, as they posted on their Twitter/X account that the show will be making its debut on Saturday, February 10 at midnight.

The show will be available for streaming on Max (formerly HBO Max) the following day.
Previously at San Diego Comic-Con 2023, Adult Swim revealed a new trailer alongside a message from Park to the fans. According to Toonami producer Jason DeMarco, there will be a new trailer to be released in the runup to Ninja Kamui’s premiere.
The show’s synopsis is as follows (via Anime News Network):
Ninja Kamui follows Joe Higan who is a Nukenin – a former ninja who escaped his clan and is hiding from his violent past in rural America with his family. One night, he is ambushed by a team of assassins from his former organization who exact a bloody retribution on Joe and his family for betraying their ancient code. Rising from his seeming “death,” Joe will re-emerge as his former self – Ninja Kamui – to avenge his family and friends. Kamui is a 21st century ninja, a shadowy anachronism who pits his ancient skills against high-tech weaponry with brutal finesse. He must face off against trained assassins, combat cyborgs, and rival ninjas to bring down the very clan that made him.

Prior to this reveal on New Years’ Day 2024, TVLaint reported that Ninja Kamui will be premiering simultaneously on Adult Swim Latin America on Sunday, February 11th.

It should be noted that the season finale of Dr. Stone: New World will air the week before on February 3rd, so barring a block expansion or other change, Ninja Kamui will likely serve as the show’s replacement on the lineup. A fourth season of Dr. Stone, titled Science Future is already in production.

The series comes from “God of High School” and “Jujutsu Kaisen” director Sunghoo Park, whose anime feature “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” is Japan’s 14th highest grossing Japanese-produced film in history.
An explosive story of revenge, “Ninja Kamui” follows a former ninja clan member who is haunted by the brutal murders of his family. Meanwhile, an FBI agent and his rookie partner also work to investigate the murders and uncover a vast global conspiracy.
“‘Ninja Kamui’ is a gripping action series about a hero hell-bent on payback. The ninja of old Japan has been reimagined for the near future,” said Park. “I hope fans will enjoy the intense fight scenes and the human drama with unique characters.”
“Ninja Kamui” features original character designs by Takashi Okazaki (“AFRO SAMURAI”) and a new song from Japanese band coldrain. It is produced by E&H production (“MONSTERS 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation”) and SOLA ENTERTAINMENT (“Lord of The Rings: War of The Rohirrim,” “Blade Runner: Black Lotus”).
A videogame adaptation entitled “Ninja Kamui: Shinobi Origins” will also arrive in spring 2024.
New episodes of “Ninja Kamui” will be available the next day on Max.
