We’re a week behind (again) so let’s get it over with quick. Compared to the previous week, the block showed an increase on both the 18-49 demographic and total viewership. Besides Shippuden’s small abnormal jump in numbers on both sides, the block had a stable performance. On a list dominated by sports programming, Saitama and Gundam ranked on Saturday’s Top 10 Original Cable Telecasts with One-Punch Man at #4 and Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans at #7.
Now on to the more current numbers. Toonami showed another increase compared to it’s previous week, as none of the premieres scored below 700k in total viewership. As an unexpected bonus, One-Punch Man scored the best numbers in the 18-49 demo, beating out Dragon Ball Z Kai by 41k. On a list dominated by sports, One-Punch Man and Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans were the only non-sports related programming to make it into Saturday’s Top 10 Original Cable Telecasts. Saitama took the #6 spot, while Barbatos took #7.
Overall, the Better Cartoon Show had two solid performances in a row. What do you think? Can it only get better? Or do you expect a drop soon? Tell us your thoughts in the comments.
