“Villain, I see it. You are me. From the past or another future. Burn up. Be at rest. I always hated that damn school motto, but it seems so appropriate. I’ll go Plus Ultra! Providence Burn!”
– Endeavor, My Hero Academia (Ep. 88)
The Toonami Trending Rundown for June 27-28, 2020. It may have taken longer than we expected thanks to COVID-19, but fans would finally see My Hero Academia complete its fourth season.
In terms of trending this week, there’s both good news and bad news. The good news is that My Hero Academia trended on Tumblr. The bad news, however, is that nothing else did. The full list, including statistics and tweet counts from Amr Rahmy’s Fan Screening analytics app, can be seen below.
Although Anime Expo has been canceled this year because of COVID-19, Anime Expo officials and the anime industry at large have several online events planned that will allow anime fans to celebrate the Fourth of July weekend regardless. Besides the regular industry panels, we will see online affairs for Attack on Titan, Demon Slayer, Dragon Ball Super, Fire Force, My Hero Academia, Sword Art Online, and The Promised Neverland. And the Production I.G. panel will be one to watch for those anticipating potential news for Blade Runner: Black Lotus and Uzumaki. For those interested in seeing the schedule of events, I created a separate article of this weekend’s events curated with the Toonami community in mind, which you can see by clicking here.
Next Saturday is Independence Day, and Toonami will be airing a holiday marathon of episodes 60-67 of Dragon Ball Super from midnight to 4 a.m. And starting from the week after on July 11, Dragon Ball Super will once again lead the block with reruns of the Universe Survival Saga beginning at Episode 77.
Until next week, stay safe, visit blacklivesmatters.carrd.co to see what you can do to help the fight against social inequality, and make sure you do your part to stop the spread of COVID-19 and to protect others by following your local health advisories. Stay at home unless you need to practice social distancing by staying six feet/two meters away from one another, if all possible, and wash your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds.
Legend: The shows listed are ordered based on their appearance on the schedule. Show trends are listed in bold. The number next to the listed trend represents the highest it trended on the list (not counting the promoted trend), judging only by the images placed in the rundown. For the Twitter tweet counts, the listed number of tweets are also sorely based on the highest number shown based on the images on the rundown.

Author’s note: To allow myself the time and space to amply cover AX Lite and Adult Swim Con this month, as well as other personal reasons, I will be taking a break from creating this weekly trending rundown for the next few weeks. Thank you for your understanding and your continued support of the Toonami Trending Rundown.
