Aniplex revealed that Sword Art Online fans in the west will get their chance to see the upcoming Sword Art Online: Progressive film, Aria of a Starless Night in theaters on December 3, 2021, 34 days after the Japanese premiere. The theatrical viewings of Aria of a Starless Night will include both subbed and dubbed viewings, meaning that a dub on the film is already in production for December. There will also be options for those wishing to view the film on IMAX theaters.
Funimation has begun preorders for the upcoming My Hero Academia feature film, World Heroes Mission, scheduled to hit select theaters this coming October 29. For those interested, click here to check out showtimes near your area.

On October 16, DC Comics will be organizing the third “DC FanDome” virtual event, and following the regularly scheduled premiere episode of Fena: Pirate Princess at midnight, Toonami will taking part in the festivities by airing a doubleheader of Batman animated films. From 12:30 to 2:30 a.m, Toonami will air Batman Ninja. Then from 2:30 to 4:15 a.m, Toonami will air Batman: Under the Red Hood. To cap things off for the night on 4:15 a.m, Toonami will air a new Rick and Morty horror short, titled The Great Yokai Battle of Akihabara.
Finally, during New York Comic Con this week, Toonami and Crunchyroll revealed new trailers and information for their next two upcoming co-productions, Shenmue: The Animation and Blade Runner: Black Lotus. While Shenmue will be scheduled to release sometime next year, Blade Runner fans meanwhile won’t have to wait long, as the first two episodes of Black Lotus are scheduled to air on November 13, 2021 at midnight.
