“I think this dream is gonna to go on…for awhile.”
– Arsène Lupin III, Lupin the Third Part IV (Ep. 18)
The Toonami Trending Rundown for November 11-12, 2017. Week 2 of Countdown is in the books as the Tournament of Destroyers reaches its thrilling conclusion, while Genthru makes his move against Gon, Killua, and Biscuit, and Lupin and co. have to solve a mystery regarding Leonardo da Vinci, among other moments.
During the East Coast airing on Twitter, every show besides DBS would successfully trend during or after their respective airings as well as Toonami for the latter half of the block. On the other hand, Dragon Ball Super would trend in the US by the time of its West Coast airing, and Countdown and Toonami would be spotted over two hours after the west coast airing. Meanwhile on tumblr, Toonami would trend along with Dragon Ball Super and Hunter x Hunter.
Finally, the thrilling conclusion of Dragon Ball Super’s match between Hit and Goku would help continue to make the show a big discussion maker in the social media scene, as it once again reaches the #4th spot on Nielsen Social’s list on the day’s top 5 most talked about shows on Twitter and Facebook. This is the 26th time for Super and 40th time a Toonami show overall has made onto Nielsen’s daily list since we started recording this feat so far.
We’re at the halfway point of this Total Immersion Event as this week’s feature was Episode 2 of Countdown, which you can check out below.
Good news for Gundam fans this week, as for those wanting to add season 1 of Iron Blooded Orphans to their Blu-Ray/DVD collections, FUNimation and Sunrise has now released the box sets for the first season. And for those who just want the DVDs/Blu-rays, separate sets are also available for purchase, with Season 1 split into two parts each sold seperately with Part 1 showcasing episodes 1-13 and Part 2 containing Episodes 14-25 with an MSRP of $64.98 each.
